Artifice (2026)
Artifice is a contemplation on the material impact of an individual in the age of digital surveillance and omnipresent artificial intelligence. Long after I am gone, what environmental impact will I—or my data—have? Made on 3378 film stock that has not been developed or fixed, the film will slowly fade with each projection; that which allows it to live is the cause of its undoing.
Artifice was made while in residence at the Franklin Academy Cinematic Arts Residency. The score was created by Liv Arnold, Shawn Bailey, Con Ray, and Dominick Rivers.
